JOE SATRIANI "surfing with the alien" cd, 1987
Joe's second and my only one...
rock guitar instrumentalist....
good solid rock guitar work on here...
reminiscent of Ace Frehley's work at times for me....
great album.
the title track live:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

THE TEMERANCE MOVEMENT "white bear" cd, 2016:
Scottish blues-rockers...
second album but my first......
good solid rock and roll on here, sounding like Black Crowes one minute, Led Zep the next...
vocals like Brian Johnson one minute, Noddy Holder and Jimmy Barnes the next...
good solid rock and roll proves theres still a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel!
from the album, the title track...
worth a listen folks!

ALICE COOPER "easy action" cd, 1970
Alice's second, not the man but the band whom the man was a part of...
psychedelic album here...
some of the tracks wouldn't have been out of place on "revolver" with the early
psychedelic sounds of Lennon's material on it...
album failed to sell, just like the debut set...
didn't chart anywhere but I love it.
one of the tracks that would be right at home on "revolver"...

Managed to listen to this clip today - as you say CH, good solid rock.

AMBROSE SLADE "beginnings" cd, 1969:
debut set from the UK rockers who ended up being called Slade....
slightly psychedelic in places, soft rock in others...
only two tracks written by the band on here, the remaining eleven are covers
or written by others who were on the cusp of fame themselves...
most prominent covers are "Martha my dear" and "born to be wild"...
a couple of surprises from up-and-comers Jeff Lynne and Frank Zappa complete the package...
you cant hear really what the band will eventually become but Noddy Holder's voice is unmistakable...
not a great album but they were at their 'beginnings' here
one of the two originals from the album:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

SLADE "play it loud" cd, 1970:
the band's second and first under the name Slade...
writing most of their own material now and developing the sound they'll achieve success
with by 1972...
love the album...
from the album:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

ALICE COOPER "along came a spider" cd, 2008:
thenty-fifth solo album from Alice....
a conceptual album about a serial killer dubbed "the spider" by Law Enforcement...
great solid rock and roll on here, something for everyone, from hard rock all the way through to ballads...
come the end of the album the identity of the serial killer is revealed....Steven (from 'welcome to my nightmare')...
a twist I wasn't expecting...
without a doubt, my favourite of his to date...
a three track video sequence from the album...superb stuff!

Van Morrison - Avalon Sunset - after seeing the discussion about some of his newer albums on the forum I decided to dig this one out again. Have not heard this in years - great album. We used to listen to this back in SA around the pool at barbecues and such. Perfect sundowner cocktail stuff.
