I was just kidding of course, but the reason I even said that is that I have lost about 80% hearing in my right ear, which really sucks when listening to some music under the phones.

I am using my Nokia 6230i with attachments and extended memory. I am going to get an Ipod Nano though, but only one with a very large memory so that i can upload videos. I refuse on the grounds of individuality, to get an Iphone.Confusedmile:

I already ripped my entire cd collection in mp3 who is about 35 gb. So the 64gb will carry my complete musical world plus more space for future add. I can't wait to do a random of all my music!!

I don't want the ones with hard drives because it's mechanical and is more likely to break. And it can become fragmented. So I wait for this 64gb.

Flash Memory . Would you care to explain exactly what that is . The only Flash Memory I know is those Flash Memory Pens , what I call a memory stick . Thanks David

Hello . Well as it goes I have not bothered with any portable player for years . Never have the need . Ether at home or in the car . Many years ago you used to carry the full size portable things around with you . Getto Blasters the really big ones were known as . Had a couple of personal tape players years ago but neather lasted for all that long . For a while I did have a personal CD player which I used on a bus that I used to drive with the adapter kit to power up form the casette deck . Also came in handy when I was in Portugal last . Long worn out now though , but then it was only a cheep one . But then like I say , don't really have the need for one . :blah:

MP3 players have two different kind of memory: Hard Drive or Flash.

So MP3 players with hard drive have a miniature hard drive inside them; this is a mechanical mean and can more easily break due to it's fragile nature. It can also become fragmented like any other hard drive. But it have a great amount of memory, ranging up to 250 GB.

MP3 players with flash memory does not have any mechanical mean inside them, because flash memory is solid state. But it is a new technology compared to hard drives so it is more costly and currently, 64 GB memory MP3 players are only beginning to show their face. But this kind of memory is more reliable mainly because it is not mechanical and also because it consume less energy.

So I really prefer Flash memory and personally, I don't need that much space as 250 GB. 64 GB is enough, I can even put my entire cd collection in mp3 and still have some space left for later musical additions and even videos.

I just wait that more new 64 GB model appear to have a good choice. For now, I think only 64 GB Apple Ipod are available. But I know Sony are currently selling a 64 GB model in Japan, so I hope they will bring it here soon.
