The lead track from John Illsley's Streets of Heaven. MK plays on a couple of songs - this isn't one of them (but that IS Guy Fletcher on keys) ...

maybe im missing something but I don't see the issue with the lyrics in this reggae tinged tune:
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I wiggle when I piddle
'Cos my middle is a riddle
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I dribble when I nibble
And I quibble when I scribble
Hello to you out there in Normal Land
You may not comprehend my tale or understand
As I crawl past your window give me lucky looks
You can read my body but you'll never read my books
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm knobbled on the cobbles
'Cos I hobble when I wobble
Swim!
So place your hard-earned peanuts in my tin
And thank the Creator you're not in the state I'm in
So long have I been languished on the shelf
I must give all proceedings to myself
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
I'm spasticus, I'm spasticus
I'm spasticus autisticus
54 appliances in leather and elastic
100,000 thank you's from 27... spastics
Spasticus, spasticus
Spasticus autisticus
Spasticus, spasticus
Spasticus autisticus
Spasticus, spasticus
Spasticus autisticus
Widdling, griddling, skittling, diddling, fiddling, diddling, widdling, diddling, spasticus

^Not well acquainted with Ian Dury and not a fan of what I do know, but I understand why someone in his shoes would not want to be patronised. He was tough.

Took a listen to Blackberry Smoke's new EP, The Southern Ground Sessions. From what I can gather these are live takes in one.
I wonder why EP's are the thing lately. Is it to do with production costs? Is it that people aren't really buying full albums? Or a bit of both? Or is it a dearth of material? This was 25 minutes in all so they could've stuck another 15 on, but I suppose that's where filler comes in. Then again, what use is an EP where any of the tracks are filler? They all need to be superb IMHO. Anyway - just thinking out loud ... I really liked their cover of Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky", with Amanda Shires ...

one of three tracks I love on "exile on main street", the one I posted in the threads, "tumbling dice" which we all know
and this little gem:

the track that was unlucky to not be my favourite track off "storm front"...
makes a great companion tune to "Allentown" off "the nylon curtain" album..
