Spotify listen:
50th Anniversary release...
five discs...
first two disks, the original remastered album...
the third disk, the original demo versions...
the last two disks, various takes, unreleased tracks...
I skipped the first two disks...
some gems hidden amongst the original demos which are mostly acoustic guitar versions
that are often slower or not quite the same key as the released product...
some interesting takes of the songs also, also some original takes of the likes of "hey jude",
"let it be", "across the universe", "lady Madonna" and "junk" that were recorded during the sessions...
several previously unreleased tunes that probably never got any further than a take or two also...
an interesting but probably unnecessary release, and while it doesn't really add anything to the legacy
of the Beatles it does show in some cases how different their songs ended up once they played around with
them in the studio as a band....
from the set:
original demo version of:
"back in the USSR" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvXfGS5B_tM
