Spotify listen:
Kanye goes all Gospel on us on his nineth studio album.
i guess he has respect for the Sanctity of The Church asthe first thing i notice is the lack of foul language.
theres a touch of autotune in places and rap.
Gospel choirs.
album comes in at a meagre 27 minutes for ten tracks so theyre short and concise.
I cant make up my mind about this album, will have to give it another whirl
favourite on a first up listen:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

The intro to the first track has a promising West African feel about it then the entire thing falls apart with some seriously nausiating noises like a very early 1960’s synthesiser. As to the theology I can never get my head around why African Americans swallow all those fairy tales. Gospel music I can understand but this stuff is so ‘respectable’ it’s boring.

Just goes to prove, there’s no accounting for popular ’taste’.

Parents? I’m old enough to be a grandparent so maybe you’ve got something right? Problem is as a young teenager I hated Elvis Presley hearing him as a watered down white boy version of the blues with a voice like Bing Crosby. Johny Ray? My parents dragged me to one of his concerts, a treacly, maudlin effort like sitting through all the worst numbers from a soppy musical. As to the Beatles, Stones and the Who I’m still enjoying most of their output (not all) decades and decades later. On the other hand it’s time the Stones retired. They’re starting to sound embarassing.
