BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN "magic" cd, 2007
his fifteenth.
E-Street Band not credited, strange?...
hit the top just about everywhere.
sold around 2.5 million copies worldwide.
the songs...
pretty bland overall, just dont seem to go anywhere.
sounds flat and uninspired for the most part.
nothing to love on here, liking most with a couple of duds.
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
favourite which happens to be the only single released off it:

BOB DYLAN "under the red sky" cd, 1990
his 27th studio set of 39.
i own about 2/3 of them i guess.
not a great album but still pretty good after one listen.
not sure whether it would grow on me further or not as there really isnt too much substance to get your teeth into.
its Dylan youre either on board or you aint.

One of my favourite Paul Simon tracks - She Moves On - just listen that bass player - magical playing - Armand Sabal Lecco from Cameroun If I remember correctly.

BTW according to an article I read about this concert there were 800 000 people in the park that day. Some turnout.

CHRIS REA "dancing with strangers" cd, 1987.
his nineth studio set.
his first top 10 charting album in AU/UK, didnt even chart in America (stupid yankees!)
"lets dance" was th biggie from the album and still gets decent rotation airplay here to this day.
as with the other half dozen albums of his i own i love the majority of tracks on the album.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
favourite wasnt even released as a single:
Curse of the Traveller is brilliant.

Been listening to Simon & Garfunkel's 'The Concert in Central Park' - just plain beautiful. Never get tired of this album. Used to play a lot of the songs from it many moons ago when I had hair and a brain.
Well well well - love this.

nice song,
you get a group of blacks together and whether theyre singers or not they still have a beautiful sound when they sing as a choir/in harmony.
you get a group of whites doing the same and it sounds like a drunken football crowd in the stands/closing time on a saturday night at 3am.

10CC "greatest hits 1972-1978" cd, 1979.
Hmmm, 10CC,
where do i start?....
album cover, love it, best thing about the album IMO.
heard a couple of studio albums over the years and was always underwhelmed.
band had so much talent and yet i feel like they seemed to squander it in an attempt to be too clever, arty and trying to pander to the Uni-student masses.
as a rule compilations are supposed to showcase who you are as an artist but again, with this it is underwhelming in so many places.
hear a great song then in pops something that feels like a throwaway track and so on...
love literally half this album but the rest i can leave.
if others here 'get it', what am i missing?
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
favourite track of theirs since the first time i heard it back in the day:
