ROGER DALTREY "as long as i have you" cd, 2018
his tenth solo album, my third....
two self penned tunes on here which i love,
the remainder are covers or written for him...
the chosen covers fall into two camps, those that he holds dear to his heart and those that lyrically represent who he is...
a rock song, a couple of ballads but mainly bluesy R+B songs...
his voice obviously isnt what it was but there is still some power and strength in the places that require it...
a couple of tracks i love and nothing not to like on here, would rate a solid 2.1-2.3 probably.
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
a surprisingly very good version of Nick Cave's "into my arms":
Roger Daltrey - Into My Arms (Nick Cave Cover) - YouTube
the title track live:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

A blast from the past - back when musicians could actually play their instruments - awesome stuff.
