great song Jerome.... ![[Image: 220px-Therearebutfoursmallfaces.jpg]](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/22/Therearebutfoursmallfaces.jpg/220px-Therearebutfoursmallfaces.jpg) SMALL FACES "there are but four small faces" cd, 1968 their first Nth American release but not a UK release... contains seven or eight tracks from their second UK release, "small faces", which was released in their homeland the previous year... love the remaining tracks on this album also... i actually prefer this one over the official UK release mentioned above. their second best album IMO, would rank a high 2.7 for me I LOVE THIS ALBUM one of the tracks not on the UK release:

SMALL FACES "playmates" cd, 1977. their first reunion album... Ronnie Lane left the band during rehearsals and the band recruited Rick Wills ( Frampton & Roxy Music) on bass so i guess some issued from the past could not be erased or resolved for at least one member of the group... album is pretty decent though IMO, certainly not as bad (in hindsight) as the critics originally said it was... solid songs, but the spark seems missing in places which i put down to no Lane... still ranks a decent 2.0 I LIKE THIS ALBUM

![[Image: 220px-Dark_Side_of_the_Moon.png]](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/3/3b/Dark_Side_of_the_Moon.png/220px-Dark_Side_of_the_Moon.png) PINK FLOYD "the dark side of the moon" cd/vinyl 1973. a revisit 50 years young this year... i just dont get the fascination with this album, i think they made better albums... i dislike half of this album and apart from three tracks i love the rest i can definitely leave... that said i own a japanese sacd (super audio cd), original vinyl, and both 30th and 40th anniversary sealed vinyl editions... i love the artwork, its one of the most recognisable album covers of all time but to be honest i think the music is stagnant (for want of a better word) the album does make the pass mark though due to the three tracks i love... I LIKE THIS ALBUM tracks: 1: speak to me (inst) * 2: breathe ** 3: on the run (inst) * 4: time ** 5: the great gig in the sky * 6: money *** 7: us and them *** 8: any colour you like (inst) * 9: brain damage *** 10: eclipse * 3s - 3 2s - 2 1s - 5 rating: 1.8
