Yes Ruby, I can see your posts and links.
Ok - thanks. Was wondering if links would be playable generally because I'm on YT Premium and don't see 'unavailable' anymore.

I think we see the same as you but just with ads. I must get onto YT premium - the ads are becoming ridiculous. Same old crap every track when you play a whole album.

^It's worth not having ads, for sure.

no artist or title needed with this iconic cover art...
a revisit,
and a relief to hear something absolutely amazing and of high quality again...
Knopfler never fails to amaze me but this album is absolutely breathtaking even after all these decades since its release...
A MASTERPIECE IMO.

I remember sitting in a tiny informal coffee shop in Cape Town many moons ago. It was run by a friend of mine, Richard, an illegal immigrant from the UK who eventually got everything sorted out by marrying a South African woman. He put 'On Every Street' on the CD player one evening and the whole place went quiet and just listened to the album. A magical moment. I will never forget it.
Today's pick - from the White Rock album I mentioned somewhere recently.

"on every street" is highly underrated and a 'forgotten' album by most people,
although not my favourite of theirs i still love it

I LOVE THIS ALBUM
Can you tell the difference, between the pebble and the boy
Far away in the distance, with the sun in your eyes
Can you see the footprints, that have merged with the sand
And you're trying to find them, you find only dry land
Can you tell the difference, between the pebble and the boy
Can you follow the heartbeats between the boy and the man
If you can, if you can
Can the future, with every step you take
Yet you feel your no further, and your walking away
Can you tell the difference between the pepple and the man
Far away in the ocean, with his back on dry sand
