JETHRO TULL "war child" cd 1974
a revisit...
their seventh studio album...
played in the car via cd over the few days...
started life as a double album but whittled down to a single album...
was originally meant to be the soundtrack fo a black comedy movie that never got made...
music critics slammed this one from pillar to post when originally released saying things like "tull rhymes with dull"...Ouch!
not a bad song on here, some are even outrightly and blatantly commercially sounding and most are amazingly short (under 3mins)
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA "discovery" cd/vinyl 1979
their eighth studio album...
love seven of the nine tracks, the exceptions being "need her love" and "wishing" which incidently i do like...
album also contains my three favourite ELO tracks: "dont bring me down", "last train to london" and "diary of horace wimp"...
excellent album and their most Beatle-esque...
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
my favourite track of theirs:

i must have missed the Blue Moves one Jerome, a very good album that most fans seem to dismiss when i read or see rankings of his best albums.
obviously GYBR is sheer brilliance

A lot of Elton fans write off 'Blue Moves', but I think it is one of his best albums. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
