Alan Parsons Project - Turn of a Friendly Card

Might be somewhat dated - no wait - it really is! But to me, it's still a brilliant album. The first time Eric Woolfson did vocal duties on an APP release ...

Just in the mood for this today - https://youtu.be/ciU9Jgmpve8?si=BNvjuQ4PkKR30Wty

Probably one of the most atmospheric pieces of music I have ever heard.

NEIL YOUNG  "chrome dreams"  cd 2023

a release of an album Young shelved back in 1977...
bootlegs had been going round for decades but this forms part of his "archives series" of releases...
you may find the title familiar, he released an album in 2007 called "chrome dreams II"....
i want to know who the hell shelves an album with the quality of songs recorded (they ended up scattered on other albums through the years)...
heres the track listing:

Pocahontas
Will To Live
Star Of Bethlehem
Like A Hurricane
Too far Gone
Hold Back The Tears
Homegrown
Captain Kennedy
Stringman
Sedan Delivery
Powderfinger
Look Out For My Love

a great, great album that should have been released in 1977 IMO but better late than never
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..."  -  Me 2014.

This one is always my favourite - mind you, there are plenty of close seconds!

I've had a Best of JT playing in my car all week. Great song - "Walking Man" is another one.

Been listening to a lot of Mr Taylor's stuff of late. Try the double CD 'James Taylor Live' - superb piece of work. There is also a single CD version but it omits some great tracks. Fantastic backing vocals on some of the tracks.
