DOPE LEMON "rose pink cadillac" vinyl 2022
Angus Stones' third solo album as Dope Lemon but fifth solo album to date
lo-fi would probably fit this album
indi-pop/soft rock, psychedelia and hip-hop
the music is very light and breezy like a summers breeze caressing leaves in trees
loving four of the ten tracks and liking the remainder which gives a ranking of 2.4 which means...
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
fave:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

DOPE LEMON "kimosabe" vinyl 2023
Angus' most recent release
only picked this up earlier this year and hadnt heard it back when it was released
follows the same dreamy indi-pop sounds of his previous Dope Lemon releases
a bit more uptempo than those though,
only three songs i love, the rest i like which means a score of 2.3 means

LADY OF THE SUNSHINE "smoking gun" cd 2009
a revisit
i suppose i had to go back here
Angus Stone's first solo album
a little bit of alt-folk but mostly alternative here
hints of Jack White in places, vague Neil Finn vibes in others but still distinctively him
a decent album,
nothing not to like and nothing i love which makes this a 2.0 album

CITY BOY "dinner at the ritz"
from Music Head's "my vinyl collection" thread....
UK rock band
released in 1976
their second album
i put it in alternative because it is art-pop/rock, slightly proggy with elements of glam
hearing early Split Enz on half of the tracks
good album for a first up listen
fav:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

i just checked on Discogs, seems i listened to the debut album like you thought.
on Spotify it came up as "City Boy/Dinner At The Ritz"
so what happened i actually listened to the debut album which they have a s a 'deluxe set' of the first two albums,i didnt listen to 'disc 2' on Spotify thinking it was bonus/unreleased tracks when in fact it was the second album

okay MH,
so i managed to listen to "dinner at the ritz"
i actually preferred the debut album over that one.
two tracks stood out for me from "dinner at the ritz", the title track (which i really loved) and "the violin".
both were good albums.

THE NAILS "mood swings"
Spotify Listen
from the Music Head "my vinyl collection" thread
had never heard of them so i gave it a whirl
US new wave band
debut album from 1984
love the deadpan delivery: think Lou Reed and Cake
sounds like UK Goth Punks, The Damned in places too
not a bad album, slightly too repetitive in places
lead off single is the best thing
