Whilst listening to some music the other day the following germ of an idea occurred to me :
There are such things as book clubs where people meet having read a particular book and then discuss the book together
I'm not really sure how to make sure that we could all get to hear the same album
each but maybe we could arrange that a at certain time an album is suggested and a link of some kind posted so that , those who wish to listen to it and then post a comment about it say during the following week.
Comments ?????????? What do you think ?

Stealing my ideas, as I had something similar in mind. Also amber had suggested some type of group album review which is basically what this is. I think it should be limited to a new release, not something that some may have heard many times. Getting regular contributors may be a problem. Also I'm not sure how we could get those that do contribute to post their reviews around the same time without playing off of each others posts. I had even thought of a prize for the best review, but that may be hard to pull off. I think
you should take charge and organize this. Good luck!:wink:

You wont believe I had the exact same thought few weeks ago.. but absolutely forgot to go ahead with it.. We used to have a similar thing going for a comics forum few years ago.. until participation become less..
Nice work Gryph..I'm with you guys.. Let's decide how we do this, genre basis, etc..
Then I'll provide a download link for for the album..

I need to find how to fix a thread to a particular spot on the new posts so that we can find it easily .........can I have some help with that please ??????
I like the idea of a new release .............I'm not too current in my tastes so I would like to get into some new things........
The idea that I think we need to think about is the problem of getting the posts and not playing each other off ............on that I'm open to suggestions.
Do we do one general one or one for each gengre or restrict the genre ?

what about MH?? Tiggi? CMB1888??... you guys have weird names btw..
Since this topic will be weekly based, I'd like to suggest the Mods to have a sub-board especially for this.
I am not sure about the genres yet... But I think for starters we can stick with Alternative Rock, which I am guessing is the most appreciated & discussed genre here..
Introducing the further Genres is upto genre experts like JonG, etc...
