My husband once accidentially listened to an instrumental version of a Rolling Stones for a journey of around an hour - it was only when I got into the car and asked him why he was listening to the same thing over again that he realised and said that he had thought 'it was a bit long'. Texas band formed in 1999 with their 3rd album. I liked these hypnotic ballads but must admit after a while it sort of became monotonous. There was nothing bad, it just needed a lacking change of pace, some tempo changes. Excellent harmonies and nice mellow music. I think the monotone voice of the lead vocalist was the down side. So the music made me end up liking this more so than the vocals, and I don't generally like instrumentals so go figure. What I end up with here is that all the songs are somewaht good, but they seem indistinguishable from each other.

Debut album from San Diego band that started as The Muslims in 2008. I guess the name didn't go over too good. Not bad alt/pop/punk sound recalling garage bands of the 70's era. Mostly nice clean guitars, bass, drums, some keyboards, no fluff.
