This might have come out better for me had the tracks not have been so long. 12 songs on a 2 disc set. I realize this stuff is made for dance club play and if I was or had ever been a clubber I may feel differently. But I'm not and have never been, so I don't. Guess this guy is well known among that scene. Brian Transeau who goes by BT, has many film scores and hits on the electronic charts, and numerous collaborations with hit makers. This is his sixth studio album. A nice cover of the Furs The Ghost In You closes it out, which would be my fav had it been an original.

BT - These Hopeful Machines

I didn't know BT was still active. I liked him once upon a time when I was young and dumb. Not now! I'm guessing this review is spot on. I'll try one of the linked previews just to make sure.

Okay, I've listened to a couple of songs from the BT album. It is horrible. BT can't decide if he wants to make proper pop songs or club music. It ends up failing at both.

UK electronic/dance/punk band formed in 2006 and creating their own label. I get to learn a new genre every day. Grime influences. I don't know, you tell me. I mean, I looked it up, but I still don't know. All I know is I don't like it. First getting notice when Mike Skinner of The Streets played a track while filling in on Zane Lowes radio show. The Dizzee Rascal influence killed it for me. The single of Turn The Lights Out turned out as my fav, so at least they picked the right track for that.
