Without a doubt. Catch the Rainbow, THAT version of Mistreated, Kill The King can go on and on.

And one of my all-time favourites by him (although not from the same album) - Temple of the King.

I have Rainbow on Stage and know it well. Like it a lot, but think a lot of the Purple stuff is better. Made in Japan is an excellent live album.

Must admit that Made in Japan turned me on to Deep Purple. If you ever get the chance have a stab at DP = Come Hell or High Water DVD. Within it you can see elements and moments of sheer brilliance. The whole band just rocks when it hits the second verse/chorus of 'Perfect Strangers'. Musically it's about as close as I am ever gonna get to an aural orgasm.

A great new group to bring to everyone's attention. The fact that Glenn Hughes is involved let alone singing should be enough reason for interest! Hard Rock with a blues twinge, this 'supergroup' (for lack of a better, less cheesier word) only released their debut album in September this year but according to Mr Hughes are already working on a second album! Well, aint we lucky! This is perhaps the softest track from the album but still remains my favourite from the album. Perfect balance between showcasing Glenn Hughes' fantastic vocal skills and recent blues sensation Joe Bonamassa's shredding techniques ![]() Finally the line-up: Glenn Hughes- Bass/Lead Vocals (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, Iommi/Hughes, Hughes/Thrall) Joe Bonamassa- Guitar/Vocals (Joe Bonamassa, Bloodline, Danny Gatton) Derek Sherinian- Keys (Dream Theater, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, Planet X) Jason Bonham- Drums (Bonham, Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin) One last great track from the album, which is a must-hear!
