This is My Song at the moment from the pop world ! It is a happy tune and gee my wife likes it !!! This is a stripped down version that I've never seen before!

SteveO Wrote:EvilB, very cool, Thanks !!! where did ya get the video ? you don't have to tell me if you prefer not to !!!

I prefer straight ahead hard rock + heavy metal ala Soundgarden, Muse, Opeth (do use some death growls), Porcupine Tree,Eluveitie, etc. groups lilke that. I have listened to tons and tons of metal ..all genres and I don't get a full album of grunting and howling...exception may be Burzum because I think he's somewhat of a genius even if he's a little off the rails (convicted murderer and suspected church burner).

Enslaved started to ease up on DGs and I like their album from last year - Axioma Ethica Odini.

I enjoy all but one of your picks, cannot stand Burzum. Here's one of my favourites from Opeth. The clip I posted before was on YouTube SteveO, I just typed in Ozzy & Calgary and voila videos to pick from.

Love it !!! I have everything by them that I am aware. They're so versatile, a few death growls, folk music, beautiful songs with unforgettable melodies, heavy metal riffs, progressive rock, even some jazz !!!! Wonderful group ! They never bore me ! Can't wait for "Heritage" in September !

Interesting how you grabbed the Calgary/Ozzy video, I guess it's a lot easier than I thought .daaaah lI also like High On Fire, very talented and somewhat similar to Opeth.

COLD CHISEL "forever now"
Aussie rockers from around the same time as AC/DC and were bigger than AC/DC back in the day...this is one of their quieter bluesier moments.
