i-Pod listening in the garden this PM.
Second listen for this, released earlier in 2011.
Continues their expedition deeper into the musical left-field. By now, the band have virtually dispensed with melody - save for Thom Yorke's vocal melodies - choosing to concentrate more on rhythm & texture.
This makes their music more of a grappling experience, but I still think the rewards are there to be had with some persistence.
AllMusic 3+/5 stars.

Her sixth album, released in 2004.
Sparse arrangements give lots of space for Polly's voice, and the intimate atmosphere suits her dissections of the darker side of human emotion.
I wouldn't like all her albums to sound like this, but it certainly works to excellent effect in this instance.
Great album.
AllMusic 4/5 stars.

On the laptop.
Johnny's solo debut, from 1978.
Strong set of songs, rangeing through Garage, Punk, and backwards to Stonesy R&R.
Another of Rock's casualties, at least he's left some good music to the world.
Definite Buy Lister.
AllMusic 4+/5 stars.

My own copy on shiny silver disc.
Fine album of Psych-Folk and Alt-Rock, from 1998.
Laptop listening certainly doesn't do this album justice. Strongly flavoured music, with a confidence about it that makes for a winning combination.
Comes across as a tougher sounding Sufjan Stevens, which is no bad thing...
AllMusic 5/5 stars.

Both Crazy-Horse, & Music Head have had a crack at this, and I think it's fair to say that both were a bit underwhelmed, although Crazyman thought it would be a grower.
First impressions suggest I'd agree with the above, and this'll make the Buy List, although it probably isn't their strongest album.
AllMusic 4/5 stars.
