Hello......
#1
I joined this forum to have a place to talk about music and find new artists. Some of my favorite bands are the J. Arthur Keenes Band, Dream Theater, Rise Against, Ratatat, and Scanners.
Hope to have a good time here!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

Hola! Are you talking Dream Theater in general, the earlier stuff, or the more recent, harder Dream Theater?
Oh, and I also like Fat Mike's label mates Rise Against... ever get the chance to see them up there? (I say that as I am in the state to the south, but am a transplant so no go bucks!). I also remember hearing about Mast and Stroud as Cherry in 2002 or so from friends still in the City. Also E*Vax. Not really what I listen to much, but I can appreciate their work.

@gater- I regretfully have not seen Rise Against in concert (I haven't been to many-the schools give too much homework even over the summer for me!), and I love pretty much all of Dream Theater's stuff, with the exception of a few of the really sappy songs. But, when asked who my overall favorite band is, they would be the answer. They have consistently put out amazing and professionally composed albums, and they don't overuse the screaming-type vocals.
