Do you listen to music mostly with headphones ?

I tend to listen more with headphones as i am traveling more (to work and home) then most other things nowadays. However at the weekends its through the speaker nice a loud just to annoy the naighbours.

There is something very differant between headphones and speakers though, i dont know if its headphone maybe confining you slightly. I mean you will always be tethered to whatever you are jacked into, and even if it is somthing small like an ipod you still have a wire dangling from one side of your head, or both depending on the headphone. Plus there is also sound quality, i find a decent pair of headphones with excellent sound quality very expensive and diffecult to find without going to a proffesional shop.

Thats my thoughts at anyrate, and dont get me wrong i love my headphones but like speakers more.

Certain albums IMHO have to be listened to on headphones in order to hear all the small details that you won't hear on loud speakers.

One example is Tool's album Ænima ..... there is so much going on within that album that you have to listen to it on headphones !

When I'm on the go I mostly listen to music with headphones.
But there are some songs in every playlist I think that you have to listen to loud through speakers
That's what I do at home. My housemate isn't that lucky about it but I don't really care because it's daytime when I do it

In the crowd, I prefer using noise-canceling earbuds.
In my own room, I prefer listening to loud speakers.
