nothing wrong with that
I prefer studio
Saw them at the Good Hope Centre in Cape Town in the mid 90's. (Now called the Good Dope Centre). Three acoustic guitars, three perfectly tuned voices, one piano and one very large PA. No gimmicks, no frills. They blew the roof off the place. Will never forget it.

Keyboardist for Yes (74-76) and Moody Blues (78-91). Classicaly trained and dabbled in jazz before making the jump
to prog-rock. Replaced Rick Wakeman, as he pursued his solo career. Patrick then chose to do the same with the
release of The Story Of I. This album is the follow up to that. While still doing solo work, he then joined the
Moodies replacing Mike Pinder. After leaving that group, he filed suit for back royalties, winning a small
judgement. As for this album, not much to recommend from me. Rather bland I would say. Obviously the guy is a good
keyboardist. Can't say if he can sing, because he doesn't. That is handled here by J. McBurnie. He can't sing. Sounds about what I think I would sound like. Nothing on him. Real stretch to find something I like here. Patrick is still recording, showing an album just this year.

Demons and Wizards - Uriah Heep. 'The Wizard' must be my favourite acoustic guitar intro ever. This takes me way back and it has aged well. Unlike me. Oh well let's get another bottle of Brunello out of the cellar and go back in time. Easy Living indeed....

On the laptop.
8th outing, released in 1979.
The usual blend of Prog and Alan Parsonsish (or even Steve Hackettish) Rock.
This album is instrumentally strong - final track Ice is beautiful - but the songs come across as a bit slight IMV.
Mixed feelings about this one, which probably means it won't find its' way onto the Buy List.
AllMusic 4+/5 stars.

A gift from a mate. The Boss, Southside Johnny, Mellancamp, that's what I got. Nowhere near as good as any of those
of course, but that's the sound. Massachusetts born but moved down under as a kid. I guess Johnny is pretty popular
down there, showing a regular release schedule after this debut, which reached #2 there. Albums have consistently
charted with two #1's. Nothing showing for stateside. Five singles released from here with the highest charting
being Soul Revival at #9. The album took the ARIA award for best selling of the year. Nothing I love here, with
Comin' Home being the best of a weak lot. The album squeaks by with a passing grade, but doesn't make me want to go
deeper. Although this album is billed as Johnny Diesel & The Injectors, that didn't last long, as the follow up was
just Johnny Diesel. I feel bad for The Injectors.

PETER MURPHY - Ninth ....released June 2011
As recommended by EvilB, my fellow compatriot, this rock album is simply phenomenal !!!!
Peter Murphy was the former lead singer of the legendary English rock band Bauhaus from the 1980s. Since then Murphy has released nine solo albums. His voice is impeccable, one of the best rock voices that I have heard ....great diversity in his vocals !
It's been a long time since I played an album five times in a row !!!!
All the songs are top notch and the album is very high energy with very good slower songs intertwined. An exceptional album , songs well written with very good melodies !
I recommend to all for a great listen !!!!...you won't be disappointed !
