THE PRODIGY "the fat of the land" cd, 1997.
the first time i heard these guys i thought "wow!, synthesised punk!, i love it!"
and my feelings still havent changed to this day....
some real heavy, beaty, meaty sounds to this electronic music...its just too hard to describe any other way IMO...
Liam's vocals spit venom in a way i have not heard since the Johnny Rotten days of late 70s punk...
totally awesome album from start to finish.
guess you either like it or you dont, and i like it!

Autechre - a mix of their stuff on the web. Does not do much for me. Even within the realm of electronic music there needs to be SOME kind of melody but this is just interference & noise parading as art. Won't be buying. It's like listening to a washing machine falling apart during the spin cycle.......

EMMA SHAPPLIN - Carmine Meo (1997)
Carmine Meo is the debut album from Emma Shapplin, the French soprano neoclassical singer.
The entire album is sung in Italian however all the arias (songs) are original. Electronic sound effects, trance pop, and synthesizers as well as fabulous singing by Emma and choir are featured through out this recording.
You will hear a bit of Who's Next in the synthesizer work on here but it doesn't detract from the beauty of the album which I have listened to many times lately.
This album is held in high regard in the Neo Classical genre......which as far as I can understand is ambient, electro dance, trance pop and traditional operatic classical singing all rolled into one very good album !
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!

On the laptop.
Their second release from 2007.
Younger Brother is a collaboration between Simon Posford - the head honcho at Twisted Records - and Benji Vaughan who's another of the Twisted artists. The label specialise in a psychedelic brand of either Trance or Dub, and this one's no exception.
The music here is a highly lysergic, chilled set of electronic tunes. Definitely inner-space music, and probably a near perfect album for headphone listening. Almost entirely instrumental.
Twisted albums rarely disappoint me. Definite Buy Lister.
Not scored by RoviMusic (They don't much like this sort of stuff anyway).
