Pat Benatar - Crimes of Passion. Absolutely love this album. Real rock n roll. The guitar playing is awesome - it matches the music perfectly.

Jerome Wrote:Hey CH you captured the whole thing in one word - sublime. I listen to this quite a lot and I find it has many layers to it. Dani had never heard this PF album prior to me playing it yesterday, didnt like the first track, but it grew on her almost instantaneously after that.... i still stand by my comments when i joined the site that The Division Bell is my favourite PF album, purely for the feel of the songs and Gilmour's guitar work, lyrically though, it is very wishy-washy IMO...very little substance to it! cant help myself now....Cluster One sounds like a cluster-f### & Marooned, well they should have marooned that one!

![]() Second album from 1965. More slightly-better-than-middling songs, with only two covers this time out. A bit more variety is in evidence than on their debut, with acoustic guitars playing a bigger part. Good but no more than that. Only 27 minutes long. Lazy gits... RoviMusic 3/5 stars.

The song or the album it's on ? If it's just the song , Hatchet, then go to the "Track I'm Listening To" section in General Music section and place the single track selection there. No biggie,,,just a suggestion for the future ..I realise you are new to MD,,,enjoy this site !!!!

![]() PAUL McCARTNEY "chaos and creation in the backyard" cd,2005. bloody hell!...i just get over the dissapointment that was the new album and then i pull this one out...God must really be having a laugh at my expense these last couple of weeks! i know the reviews at the time raved about this one.."best album he ever made", "classic mccartney" etc etc...but i just dont see it,and ive played this one probably a hundred times since it was released to figure out why i dont like it! pretty much a solo set with Paul doing 95% of the instruments himself, but produced with the guy who did Radiohead's "ok computer"...another one i do not like! on this one we see Paul in a very sombre, solomn "oh woe is me" attitude...guess his personal life was in dissaray around this time and it shows. musically, this is a very well crafted album, lyrically too, but vocally, it sounds like he is straining too much, much like his vocals are either first takes or he never warmed up his vocal chords enough prior to going in the studio. most of the songs are only three and a half minutes long yet they dont really 'go anywhere',making them sound like they eight minutes long, even though i am a big fan of The Mac, there is always one dud track on each album generally speaking, and two or three great Macca tunes, however, on this one nothing comes anywhere near a "love" track IMO, and several of the "like" tracks could easily slip backwards into the "do not like" range, but the pro's at allmusic like this one a lot giving it a converted 2.4 score, y'all aint going to see that from this "Horse",no way! all i can say is "thank God this one is now shelved for a long, long while as there are at least a thousand that will get played before the container this one goes in comes round again! I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: anywhere between 4 and 6 of them! best track: promise to you girl tracks: 1. fine line ** Paul McCartney Fine Line Helter Skelter 48th Grammy Awards - YouTube live (with helter skelter) 2. how kind of you * 3. jenny wren * 4. at the mercy * 5. friends to go ** Paul McCartney - Friends To Go - YouTube live 6. english tea ** Paul McCartney - English Tea (Abbey Road Studio) - YouTube live 7. too much rain * 8. a certain softness * 9. riding to vanity fair * 10.follow me ** Paul McCartney - Follow Me - YouTube audio 11.promise to you girl ** Paul McCartney - Promise To You Girl - YouTube audio 12.this never happened before ** Paul McCartney - This Never Happened Before - YouTube audio 13.anyway ** Paul McCartney - Anyway - YouTube audio 3s=0 2s=7 1s=6 rating: 1.5

LOL Surely at that length they should be classified as EPs... Pure laziness !! I suppose some of them were cranking out 2 to 3 "albums" each year, so I'll forgive...

![]() Third album, from 1965, their second that year. Still doing their bit for the letter K, there's a discernible uplift in the quality of the songs here. Almost entirely Ray & Dave originals by this stage, with only one cover of Sleepy John Estes' Milk Cow Blues. Good, but still not knockout material. Things were definitely going in the right direction, though. Still only a measly 30 minutes. Lazy gits. RoviMusic 4+/5 stars.
