having a bad year....
#1
yep!...i am having a real bad 12 months for new releases by my favourite artists...

Neil Finn/Pajama Club.....very,very average album

Tim Finn.....not as bad as brother Neil's one,but still dissapointing

Paul McCartney....terrible,terrible covers album

Paul Weller....worst album of his career

Neil Young....very average covers album that should have and could have been a whole lot better with Crazy Horse in tow!

the only shining light this year has been Bruce Springsteen's "wrecking ball" set

so that makes five not so good albums out of six for me....and with only Nick Cave's one to come this year that will make a 2/7 "good" rating should Mr.Cave live up to his usual standards....but believe me, im not holding my breath!

CH, CH my son - when are you going to learn to leave all that nonsense behind and come and live in Pink Floyd Land! (lol)

I like the cover album by Macca but I hear ya, Crazy-Horse!!!!.....not a big fan of entire cover albums!!!!

There's no ADELE, like last year, to dominate the music scene after five months into 2012!!!!!

My favorites this year are few and far between ... Storm Corossion s/t, Anathema - Weather Systems, Ian Anderson's Thick as a Brick - part 2 and of course Gotye's Making Mirrors.I don't know what the problem is this year but there's nothing earth shattering for me so far!

I haven't heard the new Santana - Shape Shifter yet...

I agree with you CH, especially with the Paul McCartney album. What the hell was he thinking?

I too am loving Wrecking Ball.

I'm feeling that way, but I've got a lot to look forward to with the rest of Summer. I'm pretty excited. Smile

Sorry you guys aren't having such a good year with music. Sad

I would recommend that you listen to TAAB 1 first - but then I would. But I like just about everything Tull have made. 'Catfish Rising' is also a good one to get hold of. If I remember correctly you are not a fan of live albums, but 'Bursting Out' is absolutely brilliant. I bought their 'Live at Madison Square Garden' DVD and it's a cracker! It's hard to believe Tull can be that entertaining and play complex music at the same time. One of a kind.
