Humble Pie's Live at the Fillmore East is a tremendous album!
CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:never really got into the Faces...they werent the same without Steve Marriott IMO, who if course, went on to front Humble Pie after rejecting the offer from Paige to front Led Zepplin when he was looking for a vocalist...

TAME IMPALA - Lonerism
![]() Finally got to listen to this unique album! It topped most of the music charts as the best album of 2012. The sound of this album is reminiscent of The Beatles foray into psychedelica! I like this album! Kevin Parker, main song writer and producer for the band that hails from Crazy Horse's hometown of Perth, Australia! What's in the water down under Crazy mate ? Gotye, Julia and Angus Stone, Wolfmother, ACDC, Cat Empire,Cold Chisel, The Church, BeeGees, Crowded House, bluesman Dave Hole, the list goes on and on! I heard somewhere that Julia Stone has a connection with Wolfmother ?????....what say ye???? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uim5fXYgGY - Tame Impala - Endors Toi Live in Brooklyn, New York

Crazy, now that I think about it, I think, and I'm not 100% certain, she was on the same bill as Wolfmother and did a song with them ?????..although I can't imagine they'd be on the same bill????

![]() A slight uptick from the last album of traditional folk covers. Both by me and the buying public, as this one reached #10 on both the US and UK charts, returning Bob to platinum status here which he hadn't seen since Slow Train Coming in 1979. With a 30 album career at this point, you gotta cut the man some slack. Two love tracks and one flop for me on this one. Didn't know this was released as a double album on vinyl, but I guess it would be, clocking in at 72 minutes. I had finally pushed vinyl out of my buying. It was Bob's first album of all original material in seven years and it netted him three Grammy awards including Album Of The Year. A really laid back album with no upbeat tracks. Can get kind of boring because of that, especially when you get to the last track of Highlands which drags on for sixteen minutes. I usually love Dylans long tracks, but that one is pushing it. Could have been a love track but for the length. A good album though. No clip for the excellent Make You Feel My Love, but Adele's cover might be just as good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLoyNxjhTzc I LIKE THIS ALBUM Worst Track - Cold Irons Bound Best Track - Standing In The Doorway 1) Love Sick ** live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Abbu5hcH0kk 2) Dirt Road Blues ** 3) Standing In The Doorway *** 4) Million Miles ** 5) Tryin' To Get To Heaven ** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuHl1oNoCEs 6) Til I Fell In Love With You ** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8CZbayO4OQ 7) Not Dark Yet ** video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZgBhyU4IvQ 8) Cold Irons Bound * live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hO-83CIVKM 9) Make You Feel My Love *** 10) Can't Wait ** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4ItV7hO4O8 11) Highlands ** 3's - 2 2's - 8 1's - 1 Grade - 2.1 allmusic - 2.4

![]() Aside from the cheezy costumes, a pretty good band. Formed in Idaho by organist Paul Revere (real name). He met up with vocalist Mark Lindsay in 1958, through a family owned restaurant. Didn't know they went back that far. First record was in 1960. Leon Russell toured with the band in 1961. Some debate as to which group recorded Louie Louie first, these guys or the hit makers The Kingsmen. Both groups resided in Oregon at the time and both recordings were done in the same studio. That track leads off this compilation which includes all of their hits through 1967. They got their big break when Dick Clark signed them as a regular act on Where The Action Is. They had a few more hits after this album, but this covers their peak period. It went to #9 here.
