Probably should be in classical...but then nobody would see it.
You wouldn't think I'd be an Enya fan. You're right. I don't even now why I have this. Swept
away by that Orinoco Flow I guess. Since then I've heard that done even better by Celtic Woman.
The song sure made her a star though. That is my only love track on here and it started off
with a like for the title track. Other than those, everything else here is a bomb for me and I
would not purchase another Enya album. Interesting that she has had better sellers since this
album, which peaked at a #25 here. It was a #1 in the UK and a #8 in Australia. Succesive
albums have consistently charted higher in those countries. Most of this album is just too
mellow for my taste. Yes it's pretty but I can't dance to it.
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM

Egads! I didn't even know I had another one. In the Watermark post I said I would never purhase
another Enya album, then this shows up. I'm embarassed. Not sure, but I have to think I
purchased this one before the other one, as it showed some promise. Still nothing great but at
least it got a passing grade. Only one love track but beats Watermark hands down for the rest
of the album. Only four tracks I don't like. This was Enya's first release after a five year
break. It became her best selling album and got her a grammy for best New Age Album. Only Time
and Wild Child were singles of which the former reached #10 here and became closely identified
with the 9/11 attacks. Not sure why and I don't remember that association. A few foreign
language and instrumental tracks but throwing those out this is a good album. It made it to #2
here and #6 in the UK. I am confident I have no other Enya albums.

Evil Tordivel - A Fine young man.
Stumbled upon it again on youtube and tried to find this on Spotify, the Itunes, then piratebay, then anywhere - it's nowhere to be found. Had to dig through my collection in the attic to recover it again. There's a couple of tracks on youtube, but the album is really all over the place so not easy to pin down by those songs alone. The cover is absolutely beautiful, and the title track might be my favorite song of the 2000-2010 decade.

TEMPER TRAP "conditions" cd,2009...#9 AU, #26 UK, #175 US
Melbourne group's debut album from 2009,
alt sounds, slightly haunting in places with nice falsetto vocals on the majority of the tracks...
three singles released here, "sweet disposition" reached # 14 here and #6 in the UK, also went double platinum here...album went platinum here...
group recieved two ARIA's for this one, single of the year for above mentioned single and also 'best group'
the other two singles for your info were "love lost",#32 here and #187 UK, and "fader" #47 here and #76 UK..
chart positions do not represent the quality of these guys work...they surely deserve top20 status...
i reviewed their latest album here as a new release a while ago..not bad IMO and deserves some chart success for it,
"drumsong"...the last track on this one is an instrumental...i like it even though it gets worst track here.

ANTONY & THE JOHNSONS "the crying light" cd,2008
where the hell do i start?
who the f>>> is this guy?
and,
what the heck was that all about?
Jesus, i have no idea with Antony, the only words that keep cropping up for me are: mournful, dark, weird, extremely 'out there', intriguing, eyebrow raising, confusing...
there is no other way i can elaborate on this almost classical sounding music with weird(and i mean weird) vocals and themes...
this album is just so impossible to rate on any level i know!
watch a track from it make up your own minds...(would appreciate some feedback from Jerome on this one as you tend to be able to put things into words better than most of us sometimes)
