B.B KING "gold" 2006

this is a double cd containing thirty four tracks from the period 1963 thru 1998...
the tracks are in chronological order, which is always the best way to put together a compilation IMO...
i have only listened to the first disc to post here...
im not a big fan of The Blues or ever Blues Rock, but i like what i like...
pretty hard to go past Buddy Guy,Eric Clapton and BB IMO....
nineteen tracks on the first disc, attracting seven ***, eight ** and only two *...
this gives an overall score for the first disc of 2.2...

from disc one of BB King "gold"

"lucille"(my favourite BB track ever!)

I agree totally with your assessment of the Moody Blues, J! There was no other band around with such diverse orchestral arrangements in the late sixties and early seventies,,,not even sure there have been bands similar since then????
Jerome Wrote:On something of a Moody Blues revival at the moment. Going through all the old classics at the moment. They really were totally unique in their approach to composition. Many famous bands have been copied, but here's one that no-one has even come close to emulating.

Recent gift from a great friend of mine! Mike Peters - Rise album from 1998...former lead singer of English rock band The Alarm and currently lead vocalist for Big Country! I love this album! Very good melodic rock songs and Mike has a great voice as well as being a very good guitarist!

Here's a couple of tracks!

PAUL McCARTNEY - NEW (October 2013)

I have been listening to Paul's NEW album and it's awesome !!!! I must have listened to it five times or more...such a monster album IMHO! (All Music rating - 4.5 stars!) I like every song...well done Sir! Yes his voice has slipped an octave , a bit lower, can't hit the high notes now, but he still sounds great!..and his band never sounded better! His talent is timeless!!!!! I would have to say it's the album of the year for me!

One sample of 15 fabulous tracks!
