What does everyone think of Rodriguez? Has anybody seen "Searching for Sugarman"? Still debating whether to save up and purchase the vinyl...

Yes - get the Rodriguez. It's unlikely you'll be sorry.

Currently listening to Jonathan Wilson whose influences are obvious across some of his work, although they are overt, and to me, inoffensive - tributes, rather than outright plagiarism. (Nobody seems to be suing him, and he works with some notables – Graham Nash and David Crosby, for example)

I particularly like these two tracks from 'Fanfare', and another completely outrageous go on the banjo (from something else).

Jeff Beck – Emotion & Commotion (the commotion, strictly IMO, being the Joss Stone collaborations – I prefer other artists renditions of ‘I Put a Spell on You’). The rest is emotion, no mistake! He gives his guitar a human voice.

This track was created in response to having heard Jeff Buckley’s version, I believe, the final note of which (Buckley’s) is a lesson in how to end things off. One hundred percent true and clear.

Here are both versions

My, don't you have good taste. Here's 2 versions--the working copy and the finished take: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWPoRjeZWEM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cNqLBtORg4 << what was then dismissed as pap or filler is now part of The Canon. Lovely harmonies, as always.
Would you be miffed if I cut in "Wendy"?--I just love it so much: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZeCXh0hLWc
