^ That's a funny coincidence. After hearing of Edgar Froese's death, I have been listening to his Stuntman album.

^Yeah - I should think quite a few people are/have been listening to Tangerine Dream following that news. I've been enjoying Canyon Dreams. He left behind a substantial legacy!

Brian Eno - The Shutov Assembly - bought this many moons ago when I was really starting to get into ambient stuff but I have to say listening to it again after a number of years have passed it does nothing for me. Well below par for Mr Eno.

Midge Ure’s name has been popping up all over the place, so I’ve been listening to Ultravox, something I’ve not done for a while. Vienna used to be a favourite way back in the mists of time, but listening now, I’m torn between the album from their earliest pre-Midge incarnation, Ultravox! which has some great tracks and a naïve, honest feel to it, and the very much Midge driven Lament which is at the other end of the spectrum – their most sophisticated and final studio album (not counting reunions), which I have to say, has been a thoroughly enjoyable listen. I found two live clips of “Lament” – one from 1984 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIpB4cSCHhU, and one from 2008. Twenty-four years apart, and both fantastic, although improved technology helps the latter along somewhat! Nothing wrong with that voice - dunno how he does it!
