Foghat - Night Shift - 1976 - **



Brit blues/rock band formed in 1968, whose lineup changed frequently over their 30 some year career. "Lonesome" Dave Peverett was the vocalist and passed away in 2000. They remained a tour draw till then. Even now they make the county fair circuit. Their peak was probably the mid-70's and their popularity waned in the early 80's. Over 20 albums to their credit. Most successful song was probably Slow Ride. This album featured the single Drivin' Wheel which is also my favorite. Bad version of Al Green's Take me To The River. Talking Heads did it better. And that's the only clips to be found.

Working the night shift has given me a new chance at some hot shot love and she has become my drivin' wheel while I'm burning the midnight oil. I'll be standing by if you choose to take me to the river, but please don't run me down.
