Motown had 3-5 groups record every great Holland-Dozier-Holland song, picked the best/most commercially viable, then buried the others. Finally these have come to light, due primarily to the UK's Northern Soul movement. These alternate versions have finally been issued as the "Cellarful of Motown !" series. In nearly every case, I agree with Berry Gordy, Jr. and The Commitees's picks including this one.
