Thanks for the compliment. It's all too easy to get swept up in the excitement of the new and the now, and forget American music's history and those who made it. And as importantly, those who produce and present. My little give-back. Now I don't know about his dad but both his uncle and grandfather were strongly in radio and his granddad founded Savoy Records, presenting R&B and jazz to the world. That said, that grandpop (Herman Lubinsky Sr.) was not a man you'd want to do biz with--a greedy, arrogant bully who was always and only about the dollar. In bed with the Mafia--he was depicted under another name in The Sopranos.
