Congratulations to Jess Glynne, who not only tops this weekâs Official Singles Chart, but enters the Official Charts history books!
Donât Be So Hard On Yourself leaps a massive 77 places to Number 1 to give Jess her fifth Number 1 single; matching Cheryl Fernandez-Versiniâs record for the most chart-toppers for a British solo female on the Official Singles Chart.
The singer has also achieved the feat quickly; in just 18 months, compared to five years for Cheryl. Jess' previous chart leaders are Rather Be (with Clean Bandit in Feb 2014), My Love (with Route 94 in March 2014), Hold My Hand (April 2015) and Not Letting Go (with Tinie Tempah in July 2015). Meanwhile, last weekâs Number 1 Marvin Gaye by Charlie Puth slips to 2, and Calvin Harris & Disciplesâ How Deep Is Your Love is at 3. The song is this weekâs most streamed track for a second week, with 2.36 million plays.
Rounding off the Top 5 are The Weekndâs Canât Feel My Face (4), and French producer Martin Solveig is this weekâs highest climber, vaulting 103 places to Number 5 with his GTA collaboration Intoxicated.
