MORRISSEY "greatest hits" cd, 2008
solo career stats:

this album..............................#5 UK...#178 US

what do you say about Morrissey???
boring, obnoxious, dour, aloof....they all come to mind as does 'original emo' for his negative outlook on things, especially where love is concerned...
ive always found Morrissey, whether with The Smiths or as a solo artist to make horrible albums but very good singles....I have four or five Smith albums
on vinyl and his first couple from memory, plus a solo on cd...
his lyrics are often very dour and sombre to say the least and I have to be in the mood to hear him, but thankfully, on this occasion I was so I appreciated
this album....
all up a very good collection of singles from a guy who since around 1983ish has rarely been out of the UK top20 singles charts....
