The song that started it all. Well, sort of. The song isn't really for Tori's voice, which is unfortunate because I'm sure we'd have had another half-decent song from the 80's if the singing was better. The tune is upbeat, but sometimes I don't like even that, maybe because I'm not fond of 80's sounds. Questionable key change too...

When I heard this for the first time, I started off thinking 'Hey, this is actually good!' I like that piano (or a keyboard voice for a piano) intro. Then Tori starts... talking. Talking? Not singing? Her voice is all over the place but in some places it sounds like she's trying to sing but just isn't. When the main part of the song starts, it just gets randomly faster and seems too different to the beginning. On top of that, annoying lyrics. The only reason this is ranked higher than The Big Picture is because of that intro.

If only this song wasn't on there, otherwise it would be a perfect album.
This is one of the few songs that I actually agreed with on the "top 25 most controversial Tori Amos songs" list. [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyfcIXxmy_E ] First of all, "Power of orange knickers"? What kind of power would they have? And where else are they mentioned apart from the first 3 lines?Why is that important to the song? The tune's kind of nice, I guess, but this song isn't one I'm a fan of.
