UK singles chart overview 11th Dec 2015:
Justin Bieber leads this weekâs Official Singles Chart yet again, as Love Yourself logs a second week at Number 1.The track, co-written by Ed Sheeran, notched up combined sales of 114,000 and fend off strong competition from his own track Sorry, which holds at Number 2.
Last week, Justin achieved the rare feat of replacing himself at the top of the Official Singles Chart, but his unmoved positions this week make him the first artist ever to knock himself off the top spot with both songs holding at 1 and 2 for two consecutive weeks.
This weekâs highest new entry goes to Sigalaâs Sweet Lovinâ, which debuts at Number 3. The track, which features vocals from Bryn Christopher, follows Easy Love, which hit Number 1 back in September and is certified Gold by the BPI this week for combined sales of over 400,000.
Rounding off this weekâs Top 5 are Adeleâs Hello (4) and Grace and G-Eazyâs You Donât Own Me, which logs a second week at Number 5.
[h=4]New entries and high climbers[/h]Coldplay earn their 16[SUP]th[/SUP] Top 10 single this week as Adventure Of A Lifetime climbs six places to Number 9, Sigma and Rita Oraâs Coming Home leaps from 26 to 15, and UK house duo 99 Souls jump ten places to 33 with Girl Is Mine.
Finally, three classic Christmas songs appear in this weekâs Top 40; Mariah Careyâs All I Want For Christmas Is You (up 22 places to 13), The Pogues ft Kirsty MacCollâs Fairytale Of New York (up 38 places to 20), and Whamâs Last Christmas (up 38 places to 27).
