UK new releases for 5th May:
One of this weekâs big album releases comes from Mike Posner. The singerâs second collection At Night, Alone arrives some six years after his debut 31 Minutes To Takeoff, which didnât chart in the UK. The record is made up of 12 tracks and eight accompanying remixes, including the original version of I Took A Pill In Ibiza and the Seeb remix, which topped the Official Chart for four weeks.
Meanwhile, three albums get a physical release this week following their download/streaming releases in recent weeks: Princeâs Hitnrun Phase Two, Drakeâs Views, and Beyonceâs Lemonade. The latter two are currently jostling for pole position on the Official Albums Chart, and weâll see how CD releases impact their placings on next weekâs tally.
Elsewhere, Gregory Porter returns with his new album Take Me To The Alley. The collection follows his 2013 debut Liquid Spirit, which reached the Top 10 and spent a mammoth 84 weeks in the Top 100. Former Westlife singer Nicky Byrne releases his debut LP Sunlight â the title track of which serves as this yearâs Eurovision entry for Ireland â and grime star Skepta puts out his long-awaited record Konnichiwa, which includes the Top 40 hits That's Not Me, Shutdown and Man.
New tracks out this week include the latest release from Dua Lipa, called Hotter Than Hell, and the return of Justin Timberlake, who releases brand new track Can't Stop The Feeling.
Big DVD/Blu-rays out next week (w/c May 9) include Quentin Tarantino thriller The Hateful Eight, and Oscar-winning drama Room.
