never heard of that artist before, I like that linked track mate...
I know their voices are different, but I could imagine Tex Perkins singing this one

I first heard him on RTRfm, where they played a couple of tracks from his third album with the band, his fifth overall, and I liked them enough to order the album. After enjoying it for some time I was motivated to check out albums 1 and 2, and ended up getting those as well, Nothing on those two albums however is as good as "Across the Frozen Bridge" from the third album; there are no clips on Youtube but you can hear the track on his site.
