album number seven for the band....
im not a big fan even though I own "I", "III", "IV", "physical graffiti" and this one...
too many guitar riffs and solos on this one and not enough vocal work for my liking,
and that's evident in the fact that while this was being finished that Plant was recovering from
a motor vehicle accident leaving Page to take total control and instil his guitar playing as the main
feature of the album...
was the slowest selling album of their apart from the out takes album 'coda' and the only one that received
mixed reviews from the critics even though Page says 'its the most important album of our career' at the time...
I like some of it, hate some of it also...
give me "IV" and "physical graffiti" anytime over this one "I" and "III"
