Wishbone Ash â Here to Hear, their fifteenth studio album, released in 1989, and the last by the original line-up. Frankly, I prefer their older stuff.

Here, they seem to have absorbed the flavours of the decade; the late eighties - not a wonderful time for music, although thatâs a subjective comment, and it must be said that there are always, without exception, exceptions! The guitar work is still powerful and very well executed, both leads and the base which is deep and dark, but thereâs something a little bit too ordinary about this album, and they really should have been better than that. To be fair, itâs not an entirely terrible listen, just lacking in imagination.
