Well, @Jerome, I've never said that people should actually like Nicki, Beyonce etc. That's a matter of someone's taste in music, and I won't go into that. What I was actually saying is I'm annoyed by people who don't listen to them ONLY because they are popular. Aka the Special Snowflake Syndrom. 
I'm annoyed that if I choose to listen to something which, in their eyes, is ''too mainstream'' I will get comments such as ''you don't know about real music lol'' or ''omg ur so basic!''. I don't know, it just really really grinds my gears whenever I hear that. I said someone should like/dislike something because they actually feel like that, and not because they just want to be different than the rest, and I still stand behind that.
And @bob_32_116, I stand behind that too. They're not special, they just think they are. I'm not special either, so what?
