also bob_32, did you ever hear any of the Big Audio Dynamite albums?
if so, which ones?
if not, they might be worth a listen as they are/were an extension of the funky/reggae/dub sounds Mick Jones was making whist with The Clash...
he was also a part of Gorillaz with Damon Albarn (blur) for a while...
I never listened to any of Joe Strummer's solo material because The Clash material ie: the final album, Cut The Crap, was crap , well, beyond crap IMO,
seems like he needed Jones' creative input with The Clash to bring out the best of him,
but I could be wrong, his solo material may have been ok, I just never bothered with it.
