I was around 10 when my dad bought the album on vinyl, I thought it was good, nothing special, much prefer Meat's 1981 followup album Deadringer and also Jim Steinman's album from 1981 called Bad For Good.
I have most of Meat Loaf's albums I probably prefer listening to them all over Bat Out Of Hell, whether that's because radio still plays it to death or not I don't know.
