I'm not a fan of live albums as a rule either. I only have three in my collection:

Elton John - Live In Australia
Joan Baez - 75th Birthday Concert
If I am actually at the concert, I don't mind hearing people clapping, whistling, stamping etc., as I am probably doing the same.If I am listening to a recording, I'd rather just hear the artist not the audience. Those albums i listed, I got because I get material on those albums that I can't really hear any other way; that applies especially to the one by Elton John. Some of those early songs sound as though they were written for orchestra.
