SLADE "the amazing kamikaze syndrome" vinyl/cd 1983:
UK Glam rockers' eleventh studio set...
Glam had died a quick death after three or four years but these guys kept going...
a genuine rock band...
they were the biggest singles band in the UK in the 1970s and were still doing it in the early
1980s with two singles off the album that narrowly missed out on the #1 spot on the charts and
both peaking at #2, the ballad "my oh my" and the almost danceable rocker "run runaway"...
the band never made it big in the US but this was their biggest album and contained their biggest hit
over there with "run runaway"...
almost hard rock in places on this one, some glam, either way, its pure rock and roll!
and after Steve Marriott, Noddy Holder is my favourite rock vocalist....
three tracks on here I love, the two hits and the opening track, hard to decide which one I would call my
favourite track but I had to go for one of the singles because I love the fun video for it and I want to watch
it!
