Listening no doubt triggered because I've been watching the Chernobyl series. Not sure how I feel about this one yet - his previous album, Соль (The Salt), I like a lot despite not understanding a word. He seems to have got quite a bit gruffer here - music's good though.
This track, "Сякухачи" literally translates as Syakuhachi, which is a Japanese bamboo flute, and voila - there it is! Courtesy of one Clive Stanley Bell. As with The Salt, Mel Collins shows up too, as does Richard Thompson and several others, including Mr Eno. Sort of Celtic meets the East kinda thing going on - similar sounds. Hmmm - will probably grow on me!
