A recent trip to "Hi Fidelity" in Aachen yielded a whole new batch of albums for me to post....This is the first which I took home after an excellent couple of hours with the owner of the shop. We managed a great chat between us in English, Dutch and a bit of German. After the visit I did him a bit of PR on facebook for which he gave me an excellent discount on the package of LPs I bought from him.
The early Gabriel albums are all great albums .....this one which is often called "melt" is no exception and contains some great music ...add to that a guest appearance from Ms Bush and you get a great album......
Whenever , I listen to Peter ...I remember with great fondness my time at Bath University in the UK.....One evening I was walking around the Uni land when I found myself in a private garden and eventually I encountered the occupant .....after some waving he told me that he wanted me to ..."Stop climbing up on HIS Solsbury Hill"....upon further trespass I began to recognise who I was talking to and that was how I came to spend around half an hour talking to Peter Gabriel........
