A superb album. Funny thing is that when it comes to 'best drummer' polls he's almost never mentioned - and he is light years ahead of the rest of the pack. I think people are too impressed by the 'flash' aspect of drumming instead of listening to the underlying structure of what the guy is actually doing. Someone once said - can't remember who - that the spaces between the notes are just as important as the notes themselves. Mr. Phillips understands that concept.
