I'm not a big fan of either, but near as I can figure, LG is more talented, a better singer, and more artistic. Her performance on Ellen is a good example:

Which do you think does a better performance on piano wearing Klingon battle gear and creepy eye makeup?...And remember, this is about music, not looks.

Both were outstanding.
Never understood why talented artists have to resort to gimmicks. The Lady is a very talented singer/writer/performer and imo would be a success without it. btw, I've never seen someone play the piano with their legs crossed. I'm hoping she will grow out of the need to be flamboyant. Todd did.
