Eureka - Shackleton's Voyage
Fantastic album. Soooo evocative - mostly instrumental and I'm so glad. More words would have spoiled it - not that the few vocal tracks are terrible, quite the opposite - it's just that the icy wastes don't lend themselves to lyrics, IMHO, and he's drawn a much more powerful picture instrumentally - it allows room for imagination. I've heard some of Frank Bossert's other work and this is the only album I really really like - brilliantly done. Finally ordered it - whether it will ever arrive remains to be seen! Still waiting for Steve Hackett's new one to arrive, a month later.
